What Is The Buyer's Premium ?

A buyer's premium is an additional charge added to your final bid or purchase price when buying merchandise at many of today's auction sales, common buyer premiums are 5 % or 10 % but depending on the auction house the premium can range from 3 % to 20 %. Buyer premiums are added prior to the Hst therefore you also pay Hst on the added premium which again increase your final cost by another percent or so depending on the buyer premium rate.
